Dear Parents, Students, and Friends of Eastwood Elementary Magnet School,

Welcome to our school’s website. Please explore the different links so you can learn all about our wonderful school.

We care about our students and encourage them to be successful learners, which supports our motto: “Building a Tradition of Excellence.” The excellence of Eastwood Elementary Magnet School is a result of the combined efforts of our dedicated staff, motivated students, and involved parents. As principal, I am proud of our teachers and staff members who continually demonstrate their commitment, providing high quality instruction for all of our students.

We are looking forward to working with you and your children this year. We are partners in your child’s education. It is our belief that the school/home partnership must be strong for your child to succeed in school. I invite you to become active, supportive partners in the education of your children.

As partners, we need you to instill in your children the value of education. One very important and practical way we can work together is for all of us to do everything we can to ensure good school attendance. Attendance every day is vital to children’s learning. Other ways to support learning success is to ensure that your child arrives at school each day on time and ready to learn, helping them with their homework, and talking with them about ideas and topics that they are studying in school.

We welcome your participation and support during the school year, and encourage your membership in the PTA. Working together, we will be able to reach our collective and individual goals as well as celebrate the achievements of our students.
