The Application Process:
Students are accepted into Eastwood's environmental science program by the application process of Baltimore County Public Schools Magnet Programs. Parents of all interested students should submit a completed application form to the office of Gifted and Talented Education and Magnet Programs by the deadline printed on the application. Students are admitted on a space-available basis for students age 3 (pre-school) through age 10 (grade 5) who would otherwise be attending Berkshire, Colgate, Dundalk, Grange, Logan, Norwood, and Sandy Plains Elementary Schools. Students outside the geographical location are considered for admission to Eastwood with the understanding that parents would be responsible for student transportation. Younger siblings of students currently enrolled in the program who complete an application will receive placement if space allows. All other spaces will be assigned by a centralized random selection process.
